Do you feel like you are drowning in to-dos?
Here’s how to use my Love Your Brain Formula when mom life feels like too much:
Step 1: Love your brain.
You aren't broken—your brain is overloaded.
Ask: “What is my brain trying to protect me from?”
Failure? Guilt? Burnout?
Once you are aware that it's your brain, you can now make changes!
Step 2: Optimize your brain.
Get curious- is there something going on physically to have my brain respond like this?
Have you had your hormones and vitamin levels checked lately?
Are you sleeping enough?
Drinking enough water?
Avoiding toxins like alcohol? Did you know alcohol actually increases cortisol, which is a stress hormone
Step 3: Empower yourself.
One tool to wield here is boundaries. Use boundaries to protect your mind.
Say no to the extras. Drop, delegate, or defer a task. Maybe look into outsourcing?
Another tool is to know your values. Who do you want to be? Are your actions aligning? How do your feelings shift when you align your actions to your values.
