Hope for Overwhelmed Moms to Find Calm by Loving Their Brain

It is easy to get overwhelmed as a mom. You have so many commitments and responsibilities. Your brain is pulled in all different directions.

 

When this happens, you may feel frazzled, overwhelmed or burnt out. But there is hope to handle mom life without the overwhelm!

 

The answer is getting to the root of the struggle and that is your brain!

 

It is your brain that controls everything you think, feel, say, and do. Your brain is controlling you being stressed out or helping you stay calm. Your brain is the answer!

 

To start bringing your brain to balance and peace lets starts by understanding that the brain is a physical organ and needs physical care.

It also is a complex, amazing organ that is impacted by your thoughts!

 

These two things impact each other. Did you know the physical health of your brain can influence your thoughts? And your thoughts influence the physical health of your brain!

 

So that is the answer -- conquer overwhelm by taking care of your physical brain and by managing your thoughts!

 

So what can you do today? Get curious about the brain! Are you taking care of your physical brain?

Are you eating healthy foods, drinking enough water, getting enough sleep, checking in with your doctor to make sure your hormones and nutrient levels are optimal, avoiding things that are bad for the brain like sugar, drugs and alcohol.

Remember, even though you cannot see your brain, it is a physical organ that needs care.

 

For thought management, what negative thoughts are you allowing to live in your brain? Negative thoughts reduce the blood flow to your brain. They physically hurt you. Challenge these negative thoughts. Is this thought true? Do you have evidence of this thought? Let the thought go, if it does not serve you. Empower yourself by letting go thoughts that are not helping you.
